Crazy Lady's Road Trip '25

Longest semi-solo road trip I've taken - 5,000 miles, slept in 10 different cities, 8 different states, 9 different beds, and drove 1 rental car (not my favorite subject). Semi-solo because I picked up Roxanne and we stayed 4 nights in a VRBO in Florence, TX, 1 night on our way in New Orleans, 1 night coming back in Mobile. However, every single one of those miles was mine - I own that shit. I'm proud of my journey - as a road tripping Crazy Lady, as a woman setting examples for others, as a mom who has taught her kids to enjoy the journey - it's not just about the destination - enjoy the process, and as someone who, 4 years ago, could barely walk 3 weeks post pancreatic surgery after driving to the Everglades (which is maybe 120 miles round trip done in 2 days)!
Like the many roads I traveled, there were highs and lows, bumps and a bruise or two, but it was so worth the journey! I did some solo exploring, visited family and friends. Did a tour of a distillery in Chattanooga, TN - solo!
Grateful for each mile, each adventure that presented itself. Stronger every year, every trip, every mile!

And I enjoyed being the passenger for the entire ride of the trip to TX. It was kinda sad having to drive myself home from Mobile. But through sunshine, construction, long bridges and even pouring down rain coming at us sideways, Sandee drove thru it all. She kept dry, safe and warm. She Rocks!!
