In 2003, I took Meghan and 11 taekwondo athletes ages 10-17 on a road trip to New Orleans to watch an international competition. We picked up our instructor's son from UF, who was just 21, and had 1 hotel room (they were all minors). How I snuck all of us in one room for 2 nights is unknown. We did a ghost tour, went to the competition, toured the city, and just slept in the room, Bravest thing I've ever done! If you have ever traveled with a team, you can imagine being the only adult - that was definitely a one off! 🤣🚐🛏
